I think a few of us here on IORR have become somewhat enamored by Florence lately...
so maybe this may be of interest, if so then cool... if not, then let it drop and be deleted...

Joe Strummer once did that as well during a Clash gig, stopped in the middle of the song. "Control - Your - Tempuh!" he admonished the troublemakers and wouldn't resume with the song until order was restored. Can't remember if this was from the Rude Boy movie or some other Clash gig, but I know I have it on DVD somewhere. Perhaps Florence takes her cue from Joe Strummer.

Say, what is it with Florence Welch and the color red? That video clip is drenched in red, just like her outfit for her 02 cameo. Reminds me of the theme song Lady In Red from that Dustin Hoffman/Jessica Lang movie from 1982, Titsie. I'd post the song clip from YouTube, but it's such a soppy overproduced 80s ballad, so why bother? We don't need to hear it again.

Think that dear old Flo might be getting to be a soft spot for a few Stones fans. Good on her.

...yeah and when a beer-glass was thrown at the stage during a Johnny Winter-concert on Roskilde-festival Johnny left the stage, and the country...

Who's fighting and what for ?

LOL, I have just watched the video again, and can you imagine
being at a show and getting into a skirmish, and then having
this lovely woman scolding you like school children? Not that I
ever get into skirmishes... but if I ever was at show and getting
ready, or already, taking care of business with some butt hole who
was begging for it, and then, all of a sudden, to have the show stop
and we look up, and to have Florence yelling us, in her lovely voice....
telling us to STOP IT, I DONT CARE WHO STARTED IT!!! It might be the most
humbling thing ever.... I think I lover her... but it is probably just infaturation.

Dave sure does like to cuss quite a bit.....
which is why I think Florence's method is even more unexpectedly awesome.




Dont misunderstand, I like DG, and fkg cussing too,
but to compare and contrast Florence doing her thing = more awesome.
