This is how you get to the Prudential Center in Newark:

From Manhattan go via Penn Station at MSG. Take the Amtrak train or NJ Transit transportation to Penn Station Newark, $5 tickets by the machines. That ride takes 20 minutes, two stations. Follow the escalators upstairs, then walk through the overhead walkway/tunnel the 3-4 blocks to nearby the Prudential Center. Take left as you arrive outside, you will see the Prudential Center easily. Or from Newark Airport there is a bus that cost $1.50 and takes you directly to Newark Downtown right by the PRU Center. The Downtown area is ok safe, like most other US cities, no worries, I have walked it all over.

MEETING PLACE FOR NEWARK - IORR STONES FANS:

Not many bars and pubs in this area, but right across the street in front of the PRU Center there is a building with several sports bars. Look for the first one. You do not need a map to find it, it is on Edison right across the street from the Devils supporter store. The food is great, above standard, and they have lots of great tap beers. They also have Chimay, the best there is!

Does anyone Know who the special guests maybe for Thursday and Saturday night at the Prudential Center?

Sp I guess Thursday is the Blocking and Audio night, hmmmm I've never been a fan of first nights in any venue...however i'm sure she'll be right on the night

I was at The Pru last week for The Who and the bars/pubs just outside the main entrance were crowded by 5:30pm.

See you all there for both shows. I'll be wearing my I LOVE (tongue logo ) NY shirt one night and my Keith Richards Athletic Club the next.

Haven't seen them since Slane Castle, August 2007 and cannot wait !!!

I know the bars in fact all of them will be crowded around 6pm or even before that. But many go into the arena very early, like myself, so I think it is nice to be there may be 4pm or so. That is when I try to get something to eat and drink if things work out well.

I will definitely drop by the Edison after the show, but might still be napping at 4:00 p.m. I'll pop by around 6:30 and see if anyone is still there! I'll be wearing a lot of sequins and leather pants! Saving my IORR sweat shirt for the hotel

The nice thing with Edison is it is right across the street from the venue, so we do not have to wonder off into strange places around Newark downtown. But we will not be alone. Still it has got room for everyone, big place. It was not full today, there were wrestling in the Arena, plenty of people into the Arena.

Isn't Mayer quite good when he's playing the blues, Tele? Luckily, he can't sing properly anymore, so he'll probably stick to the guitar.
