So, the twelfth and final episode coming up now in about three minutes. Even though the last episode wasn't as good as I was hoping for I'm looking forward to the conclusion. Let it all begin...

No great surprises. A bit soapy. I'll miss drinking a glass of Schnapps every time she says, "I need you to ..."

I liked this season better than I expected. I really turned sour on season one with some major plot holes that were terrible. Season 2 was good but pretty dark and depressing on how the terrorists inflicted some hard knocks. I liked this season taking place in Europe, which seems to be more the front line between east and west than the US. And Germany being the center for a lot of intelligence gathering against terrorism. And unfortunately, this series is pretty prescience with the tragedy of Paris. This was a good season, and sad about Quin. He was a great character.

I agree it was a great season, possibly the best since the first, but at this point I'm pretty tired of the series and the characters. I wish Saul would retire and Carrie would grow up.

This season was a huge resurgence. That said, the finale was BAD .

I do agree that the final episodes didn't measure up to the buildup. And there were some premises set up that I didn't necessarily agree with. Like the fact that the Russian state would agree to islamic terrorism in Berlin.
And a few other things like the "weak" terrorist and such. But all in all I liked the fifth season and the settings in Berlin was a breath of fresh air. The new cast did well also. So, looking forward to season six now in a year or so...

Maybe next season (and agree this season was superb, taking it to Germany/ relation to current main terrorist group, Russian infiltrate woman spy cunning, gas threats, and frankly Quinn's 9 lives were up)
Next season, after Carrie re-charges,
she will take up Otto the powerful corporate billionaire on his marriage/ rule the world as my Queen offer,
and we will get a glimpse of how the top powerful untouchable rich corporations really rule the world.
And hey, Merry Christmas!

I agree the last episode didn't live up to expectation after last weeks cliff hanger. Maybe they could of added more suspense on the gas attack in Berlin or the fate of Allison. Although I'm glad she bought it. Then again maybe she has nine lives too, ha-ha. They can take next season in many directions. Good show.

With a series like this the last episode of the year really shouldn't finish tidy. Loose ends must remain. The drama this season was taut, and there were not so many obvious plot holes that caused one to pause and say "come on, really?" very often. It is after all entertainment, but clearly tilted to the here and now, which is what made this season so effective imo. I think Otto is playing on the wrong team...

So, two episodes into the new season, season 6. What do you think? Are you still watching it? I'm still in. Why give up now? It's like The Rolling Stones: You don't give up on a good thing too easy...

I'm still in! However, I missed the second episode, so I'll have to catch up soon.

Yeah, I'm in, caught up (seen episode 2)
W/ out giving anything away (not much to give)
but need to gripe I cannot believe they showed that torture scene again!
Argh 3x last season w/ Carrie cry face horrid torture,
she whips out the phone to replay again this season another cry face!
The show is good in the various angles/ depictions of the other sides of the fence.

Started watching 'Sneaky Pete' it's excellent.

Episode three was better. Things are starting to happen now. I was a bit worried for a while there after the first two episodes. So, Quinn is going to shoot Carrie now? Or nail her?

Carrie still loves Quinn. Quinn still loves Carrie.
But I guess there is someone spying on Carrie or something. Dar? Anyhow, Quinn is on it.

And nope, Quinn's too far gone to interest Carrie.
She's gonna nail the tall dark and handsome
prosecutor attorney, who she's been fighting with about the kid in jail,
but one upped him last episode walking away smirking.
Foreplay for a gal like her.

Not so sure. I think he will be Quinn.
I keep waiting for my Rocky montage for Quinn. The trumpet call, and he starts doing push-ups. Well he went and beat the sh*t out of that dirtbag who got him earlier, got his gun, and his now on the warpath protecting their castle.

Episode 4 postponed till next week. Apparently due to to that strange game of reverse rugby which is popular in the colonies....

Sure, but the show airs on Sundays in the states. And is shown 24 hours later in Sweden. But maybe Norway got the better deal?

Can't understand the logic to stop a show for the super bowl, especially since it's on a pay channel. What about people that don't follow football, guess we don't matter. I can sort of understand doing this for the Olympics, even still that's a stretch. Anyhow, I like the way the story is going on Homeland.

Caught up on the latest and preview for next, all I can say is
dee- pressing. Acutely depressing, and I don't think
anybody's getting laid.

Seems to be two leads to follow now on Homeland. The Iran nuclear lead and the CIA propaganda terror lead. Carrie seems to be caught in between. A good fourth episode though. I hope it stays like this - or better!
