I changed my mind. Keith Richards; A stone alone is the best.

unreleased stuff by Keith, esp. Toronto 1977, yeah!
also, remember that unreleased bootleg of Mick Taylor in studio on Dime
that was deleted several minutes after it was uploaded? great stuff.

when it comes to official stuff Ronnie is surely the king.
"I've Got My Own Album to Do" is superb, but better is its live version,
"Sure the One You Need" with Keith, harr harr!

I'd say Keith playing "Worried Life Blues" is also amazing.
"Oh lordy lord..."

Wandering Spirit
Main Offender

And it's too bad Goddess was not a Stones' album, most of the songs are better than those on ABB...

The only Stones member who has approved OK solo albums as I see it is Ronnie Wood .... all of his albums are very well in Singer Songwriters genre and number one is:

Now Look

2 1 2 0

I must disagree a bit there..Wood's "Now Look" is quite good. Now it is an extreme departure from the first LP(imo) because of the Womack influence which gave it a bit more of a "soul" sound and does date it. Taylor's "Stones Throw" has some great songs included the powerful "Blind WIlliw Mctell" worth the price of the cd by itself. For the best I agree that it could be a toss up between Keith's "Talk" and Mick's "Spirit" with Ron's "Gimme Some Neck" a close third...
