They should drop IORR IMO. They could replace it with a Berry rocker. Or play @#$%& instead. Same type of song.

Fooltocry: That's also a good idea. It works well on No Security.

You Got Me Rocking is a good opener. They tried it a few times in 2003.

Start Me Up! Great opener, it turns the crowd on...!

"No my friends the answer is The last time. Not as a message for anything (but "maybe the last time" is true this time, who knows) but think of a long version of the riff of this song in the dark!!"

Good idea, but the problem is that Keith is not able to play the riff. Perhaps he never was; it was played by Brian in the original.

But if not "The Last Time" I would prefer also that kind of "surprise" opener, like "Under My Thumb" was at the time, and "Not Fade Away" later. Yeah, maybe "Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby?": they could make massive that intro of that loud noise (whatever it is!??), and they certainly have the horn section to back it up like in the original..

I also like the idea of "Sympathy"; it might make a huge opener, or "Gimme Shelter" - you know, the riff starting quietly, perhaps the the lights out, and then little by little, getting bigger and bigger, lights on, the drums in.. when Jagger would show up and start the first phrase the whole audience would be eating from his hand..

What was Rorty's SFTD idea?

Honky Tonk Women would do great in arenas IMO
I imagine Keith standing alone on stage with only one light pointing at him right at the begining.

Erik: Read the post above mine.

No Gimme Shelter on the concerts please. Only occaisionally.

IMO
They have to open with a warhorse song now.
A faster SFTD would be perfect or Shattered.
Something that hasn't been done yet.
Start me up = Too predictable
HTW = Too slow
Brown Sugar, Satisfaction = done already
JJF would be great again but it may be too soon

I think at least the first 4 songs should cover thier career
then they could play around with their catalog and round it up with the usual.

ex
SFTD
IORR
Start Me Up
You Got Me Rocking
New song
etc....

They shouldn't have many warhorses this time. Don't open with one, but close with one. (Still the HTW and SFTD ideas are great).
