Bump

this is the one we are all waiting for...I heard he played an excellent lengthy solo. On reflection I don't blame anyone for not filming it, you paid a lot of money and deserved to see everything rather than stare through a camera!

I wasn't impressed by MT on this song - I expected a brilliant solo but he never really came...

I have the audio but you will have to wait for a couple of days before I post it, unless someone beats me to it.

I have the whole 11 minutes on video but don't know how to upload onto You Tube. If someone can tell me I'll do it when I get home after work. It was brilliant though and Mick was a bit sluggish at first but then really up the pace. Grown men wept. It was almost like being transported back to the US tour in 72. Almost.

Ok, I saw Taylor with Wood/Wyman/Watts at the "boogie for Stu" event... and there, that was magic, both guitars playing, Taylor's slide sounded like Exile on main street (check the Youtube videos especially "Rooming house boogie").

But yesterday, although he was mixed correctly and enjoying being on stage (and moving to the edge of the stage), he didn't really produce a typical taylor solo, he was more doing small licks here and there, playing a bit of slide at the end. Let's wauit for the videos.

To be fair.. he's not "match-fit" - to use a footballing term.

When was the last time he played 20,000 people and was the focus of attention?

I'd have been concentrating on not making my trousers brown.

Sounds like you were not there. He walked on and kind of took over.

I think Taylor on All down the line would be a better choice...

I wasn't there but I saw other people who were saying he kept it simple and played within himself.

Which I wouldn't blame him for.

I was defending him against the person who was disappointed because he didn't do "a brilliant solo".

If he was good (and I'm glad to hear it) then imagine what he would be like "match fit".

You know, I think that there are some problems with uploading songs that are longer than 10 minutes, but I'm not sure what it is. I remember that when people were looking for Rambler from Saitama, someone posted it, but had to split the video into two parts. Just so you know.

Not a problem anymore. Youtube removed the length limit, or at least increased it a lot. There are plenty of full-length movies (2 hours long, etc.) there these days.

I would love to see this. You can do it the way that Skills described above.

You can transfer the video file from your camera to the pc. Assuming you are using a recent-model video camera (one that records on a card instead of tape), you can connect the camera to the computer with a cable. Sometimes the video camera will then show up as an "external drive." If you prefer, you can also remove the card from the camera and insert it into a card reader if you have one. Then just copy files from your card to your computer's hard drive. I find it easiest to just drag it onto the desktop.

Then log into your your YouTube account (or create a new account) and click on "Upload." Choose the video you want from your hard drive (or other location..) That's all there is to it.

Now... get to it... PLEASE!

Sucks (more like unreal) that there is no video of this...32 seconds don't cut it.

And I for one am NOT a fan of MT moving around. That is not his forte. He's best in the wings, feet rooted, being musical.
