London Eye Pier, near Waterloo; when facing the river, go to the right side of that huge Ferris like wheel (sorry, not from London, do not know its correct name). On Sunday, for my boat (4:45), they announced that only those who pre-purchased tickets could board, but while the boat was mostly full, there were probably 20-40 unoccupied seats, so? Certainly more fun than the tube, plus there is a bar; and scenic, even though it was dark, because of all the lighted bridges and buildings - and you can step outside the enclosed area, for the best views.

The Thames Boats trips to Greenwich are great.

AND... all you you non-British people.

Get there REALLY early and explore Greenwich.

The park is Henry VIII's hunting ground.

Up the hill is the Royal Observatory where ALL the world's clocks are set from.

You can find the center-point of GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and straddle it.

Oh yeah.. and it's ZERO degrees longitude.

(Much to the upset of the Frenchies as we like to call them).
