But we fans know that the boys have already hinted at a TOUR in the works, and that Charlie is doing great!.

A rather generic question below, perhaps Mr. RR was hoping for a surprise reply.

But, he gets a rather generic answer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

RR asked in "Personality Parade section"

"I heard that some of the Stones have medical problems. Will that effect their future? RR

Parade's Walter Scott:

"At their age, it's hard to say. Drummer Charlie Watts, 63 is doing well after treatment for throat cancer. Guitarist Ronnie Wood, the baby in the band at 57, has done stints in rehab for alcohol. They have no immediate plans to tour, but the Stones -- Watts and Wood plus Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, both 61 --are working on a new album for 2005.

A nice 4-some pic accompanies the Q/A

"Walter Scott," if he indeed still exists, has been on the personality parade beat for a good 40 years. I always thought the questions sound made up, so that some recent tidbit of celeb news/gossip can be inserted. I recall finding out as a kid Bill Wyman's age: "I hear Rolling Stones guitarist Bill Wyman is really 60 and wears a wig. SM, Lake Grove, KS" Scott: "Wyman, the 'quiet Stone', is 37 and has just recorded an album on his own, 'Monkey Grip'. He has no plans to leave the rock supergroup."
As for Walter's future plans, at his age it's hard to say.

The photo is nice, but Mick, as usual, is standing on a box to elevate himself. I wonder if he carries it around with him? He's actually no taller than the rest of the Stones and definately not Keith.

Keith: "We're all around 5' 9"."

I mean, in this photo, Mick's like a whole head taller, towering over Charlie, geez "gimme a break." It's always quite obvious, Mick's standing on something. Watcha think 'bout that?

He could never have fronted the Small Faces!

But I really don't see the point of Mick standing on a box for publicity photos, when it's plain as day how tall he really is when the boys line up on stage at the end of a show. Like Keith said, they're all about the same height.

Parade magazine is a syndicated Sunday magazine supplement in US newspapers, mine comes with the Boston Globe.
What originally made me suspicious 30 years ago was someone cares enough about the Stones to write in a question calls BW 'guitarist'??

Having never seen AC/DC, had no idea
how short the brothers were until FF's
Stadium show...Mick wouldn't need no
stinkin box if he was their frontman!
