Yes--I know--but I am giving the 3 CD version to some people for Christmas who don't have many--or any--Rolling Stones albums and I was hoping that it would have all the hits on it. Why "Respectable" from 'Some Girls' instead of "Shattered"? "Respectable" wasn't a hit--no one I'm giving the set to has ever heard of it.

It makes no sense. This could have been a really good career retrospective for the "newbie." It just makes it less than perfect...oh, well...you can't always, etc. ...

Respectable was a charting single in the UK.

"Shattered" reached #31 in the US.

"Respectable" charted at #23 in the UK.

No--I wanted to give them an overview from '63 'til now. Plus, the song "Some Girls" from 'Some Girls' precludes me from giving that album as a gift. These are, in some cases, younger family members. That line in that song would not sit well.

They made a video for Shattered, too, no? Or is the NYC-video just a fan video?

There is no official Stones video for "Shattered" so I'm not sure what you're referring to.

They did 3 videos for SG: "Respectable", "Miss You" & "Far Away Eyes".

There's not even an official video for "Beast Of Burden".

Ronnie's guitar break is the only good thing on Shattered. The song is an attempt of a grown up man who tries to sound like a teenager.

Maybe (obviously is!) just me, Respectable is great, Shattered is awful, I have simply NEVER understood the admiration for it. Just a noise, and LIVE is crap!

you know what i'd do if i were you? i'd take that disc with respectable on it...and i would break it into a million pieces...now it has shattered...or something...

Shattered is probably the worst one they did this side of Brian Jones. Never understood why this song ends up on compilations and still to this day steel valuable live preformance time from other classic or non classic songs....
