Not many here would remember, but Cheyenne with Clint Walker was popular.
Yep I remember that one.
Anyone remember "Branded" with Chuck Connors?
"What do you do when you're branded and you know you're a man?".
When they broke his sword!! man, that would piss me off!!
Yeah.. knocked his hat off.. ripped his lapels off.. and then torn off his buttons...
Then his sword (which snapped rather easily).

Cowboys vs Aliens ticked all my boxes, I couldn't wait to see it.
However, it turned out to be crap.

Long lost? It's probably Sam Peckinpah's most celebrated film...

- tv series : no hesitation, I choose the Persuaders..it's a pity that they only played it for one season (70-71) !

I loved that Twilight Zone episode that stonesnow posted - excellent.
ALL of my faves have been listed...I like almost anything with John Wayne.
Question: Is Fort Apache considered a Western or a war movie? That's definitely one of my very favorites.
Along with...
The Searchers
Magnificent Seven
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence
High Noon
True Grit (original)
For newer stuff - Unforgiven and The Missing.
OH and Thanks Max for the Deadwood post - now I have another new TV show to get me through the long cold Memphis winter. Hope you know that you are solely responsible for what has turned into a Netflix addiction - what can I say but THANK YOU - it's a great vice!
LOL - I don't mind the cussin'.Quote

Have fun with Deadwood... Ian McShane plays my favorite "Bad Guy" since Daniel Day-Lewis.... just beware after heavy doseages of Deadwood you may be cussing likesailorCalamity Jane for a while... then it wears off, kind of

btw- I just noticed that Deadwood still has a 9.0 rating on IMDB, that is almost unheard of there... even for some of the best movies/shows of all time... usually after while the ratings will drop just because people are... you know.
