I was hoping for some more "pop hits" in the setlist, there's simply too many RS songs there, like if they were the only band around.

Did they say they were going to have an exciting song selection for real fans? I'm not trying to be a smartass, I"m actually asking. There's been so many articles and quotes that I don't read everything.

Are you saying you're being one without trying?

I guess it depends on your definition of "exciting" and "real fans" then. Exciting could mean greatest hits from start to finish, non-stop rockers, or whatever they think is exciting, and not necessarily a bunch of deep album cuts. And their definition of "real fans" might be people who are willing to pay what they're asking or something else. Who knows, but thinking that it means a bunch of deep album cuts for people that post on IORR might be taking what Ronnie said the wrong way.

No, but it means you are. I was just wondering where it was said, as I had heard nothing about it. And wanted to make sure I wasn't coming across like I was saying that because I hadn't heard it, that it was never said.

Just like I'm not sure if you were ribbing me or being sarcastic, context doesn't come across too well on the internet.

I guess that's why they invented emoticons and smileys, but I always forget to use them, and I have no clue what half of them are supposed to convey. What's the one with the guy jumping in the fire supposed to be all about?

You mean the Harry Nilsson song?

Funny, but in that photo Harry looks like he's about ready to jump into the sauna.

ronnie did. and then mick told him to shut up .

Keith did too, saying also that Mick had a tiny scrotum regarding exciting song selection. So Mick forced Keith to apologize if he wanted to get the song list changed at all. Keith has apologized and has written a new song about it, which he got Mick to sing. They will drop one song in the set list to add this new song. This one change in the set list is what fans will have for an exciting song selection. And if you're a real fan, you'll find this song selection exciting. Really.

I don't understand this. They rehearse a ton of songs including a bunch of rarely performed songs, and yet people complain. So what does it take? In Another Land with Bill on vocals? We all know the big crowd i.e. 19,000 out of the 20,000 people do expect their biggest hits. So except for a few songs in the beginning, it will be a safe bet like it has been their trade mark for 50 years now. I am fine with that.

A real fan, what is that!! You could propose to the stones to play 10 warhorses and after that asking to all the non real fans to go outside the stadium. At this moment, Mick would say: welcome to the real show. Don't worry, in the futur, everybody could ask his own and vitural show "A la demande".
