can someone recommend a good youtube downloader program (that´s free!).

I was using one called youtube downloader (a descriptive title!), but my laptop crashed and I wanted to know if anyone could recommend a more current one (or maybe YT downloader is still the best...)

if you're using Chrome webbrowser then there are many absolutely free YT extensions that work perfectly.

I use JDownloader for general downloading & one of the features is downloading vids from youtube as well as other sites. You paste the URL in & it will give you the option to DL in various formats & qualities
