singing solo stuff with the stones seems to have always been a no no. mores the pity.
Mother Of A Man is an immense tune! Powerful, great harp, great lyrics, killer riff, Mick's singing is top-notch!
The best?
I think it totally holds its own with most of the songs mentioned here. It's just a nicely written, unpretentious bluegrassy stomp with some lovely slide work, and it also has the distinction of being one of the few songs from that album that MT still does on his solo gigs occasionally, or did before 2012.
