Sounds like this comment was made two years ago.

He didn't "just" release his memoirs. This book was published in 2004.

> That was longtime Rolling Stones keyboardist Chuck Leavell predicting over breakfast the other day that Mick, Keith and the boys will stage a world tour next year.

He is talking pre-ABB.

Yes. It's an old comment Erik. I thought that BV deleted all posts from the earlier year...

You might want to care what he does as he plays keyboards, helps with setlists, hangs out with our boys, etc..

Glad to be a man of few words today: Lurv Chuck!

Ya see, Chuck fits in just fine and most Stones fans agree that his contribution to that band is undeniable! Plus, he's a really NICE guy who keeps them grounded! Although we complain about set lists, if it weren't for Chuck's influence, the set list would NEVER vary!

He gave us Sway & loads and loads of other variations in setlist.
Stop pickin' on the man!

Maybe they'll call Billy Powell from Lynyrd Skynyrd. Or Jerry Lee if he's not pulling an O. J. and killing his old lady.

Think I'll take a short vacation from the board - sick and tired of everything I post getting blasted by "fans".

you always were and remained a a crock of shit, Mathijs!

you (think that you) know everything about everything and as you once mentioned, you are a better guitarist than Ronnie! Oh, my God...

Apparantly Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie love to be on stage with this band, it is crearly the way the Stones want to perform. So all agruments: they shouldn't be there, they should play without all these background musicians, are bullsh*t. They will not play without them because they do not want to. I've said it before: the Stons have not become what they are, by listening to what other people would like better. They have never cared and should never care.
I think it is safe to say that without these people, there would be no Stones live performances anymore. If the four of them would be convicted to spend 1,5 year on the road with just eachother to look at...

Besides that: if you listen to Chuck and his playing for other artists, like Clapton, you can hear that he truely is a great bluesplayer. Clapton - Old Love, what more can you say? Maybe he has less musical freedom to excel in a band like the Stones, I don't know.
And there is of course the added value of setlist director. A great relieve to Keith, and also to Mick, who only has to approve or comment and make some changes here and there if he's not feeling 100%. This value counterweights to a maybe not so great stage performance, although you can't say that he doesn't play good enough.

Ow sh*t, sorry, this thread was actually about good news: great chances to a 2007-tour!!!

I will be there, and will try another foreign gig, because the experience of Paris was GREAT! And the show even better, MUCH better. Strange but true! So it will be Ahoy Rotterdam ;-), Groningen Drafbaan and ...London? Paris?
