It looks like the ice is beginning to crack for the NJ shows. Went on E-bay last night and started making offers on the auctions where that was an option.

Many of the offers I made were just above or below face value. Aside from a nasty email from a seller pricing his tickets at $39,999.00, It wasn't long before I started to receive responses from people that were not seasoned ticket brokers looking at their options.

After about two hours I received a counter offer and was able to purchase Mezz tickets for Saturday night @ $400.00 below face. The seller even included his ticketmaster receipt.

I still think I could do better but coming from ATL I wanted tickets in hand. I guess my message is to continue to hold on as tickets will surely be available everywhere.

Oh by the way the seller for $39,999.00 got so upset when I offered $250.00 he threatened to make a complaint to E-bay accusing me of harassment. Who is harassing whom?[/

$39,999.00?? I might buy them and then say i made a mistake just to piss him off!

I was back near the sound board for the Zeppelin show at the O2, and it remains possibly the most moving concert experience of my life.

You must have been near me, then!
I was about 10 yards in front of the mixing desk.

There are some (not very impressive) £326 tickets for the 25th at the moment on TM, and the bottom price on GetMeIn is now £270 - it's gradually creeping down...

for the 29th there are 326 GBP tickets too.

You can still get that Block 101 Row M seat on Ticketbastard for the full £406

No @#$%& chance

That's not bad? Must be for the 29th though as the 25th is up to S...down from T yesterday oddly enough!

I have a couple of pairs for the thursday show way below face value if any are interested. They are in section 21. I bought them for 813.00 from ticketmaster and I'll sell them for 700 and take the loss. Let me know!

They will not be cheaper at the box office. There are many tickets way below face value on eBay at the moment. If you only require a single then the prices are even better. If you wait until next Tuesday/Wednesday then eBay sellers will be shaking in their boots and you'll grab a (relative) bargain.
For anyone debating whether to go, if you can, do it! It's been 5 long years. Be in the house!

Hmm .... but the number of pit tickets on SEATWAVE seems to be going up and up, currently at 86 for the 25th !! I just checked 2 minutes ago, 20:25 Thursday 15th U.K. time.

Q: Where the hell are all these coming from ? The day of the show draws closer, yet the number of tix available goes up and up and up .... ? OK, the price is still high (currently £947 on SEATWAVE), but still ......... ?

Totally bizarre !!

Well, those "presales" in my opinion were not really so. I mean, they only put part of the total tickets for sale and everyone interested had access to them (just having the AMEX number. The Facebook presale was really 100% open).

I tried to get tickets in all the presales and, as many here according to what I read, I did not even get any tickets offered (well, yes, in one occassion I had the opportunity of 2 tickets in 4XX at 400 gbp aprox...). That is why I think you were lucky because, good or bad, at least you were offered several times Section B tickets which are mcuh better than what most of us were offered.

I admire your cold nerves to wait till the last moment if necessary but also others in your situation need to understand that there is a real change of not getting into the concert.

I see too much optimism in thinking that it will be possible to get good tickets at less than face value...and I seriously doubt it. I will be happy for those who can get them anyway!

I don´t see the point in telling people how bad they did in buying their tickets... I guess you were lucky being offered so many B block tickets in the different presales; form what I read, you are an exception.

I will be happy for all those that may get good tickets at reasonable prices (well, there are no reasonable prices anyway) but I am also happy for those that already have them even if they are not the best ones and that can relax and prepare their travelling without being nervous about getting or not the the last moment.

I have a couple of VIP packages for my wife and I so no problem about the quality of the tickets. Comming from Spain, I pefer to assume and extra payment for the dinner and the rest of the things but being sure of being there than to book a plane and a hotel and maybe finish watching a musical in the West End.

So how many people are like me, having paid 406 for a B-block and now seeing this all headed for field tickets being available....

Er ... well you're probably not overly happy really, are you ? I told you, do not fall for this "sold out" nonsense. Ticketmaster ALWAYS sell from the top and from the back. If you can't find what you want in a presale, where typically they offer a mix of some really good seats and a proportion of total and utter rubbish, then take a deep breath and simply hold fire ......... and WAIT !! It really IS that simple !!

So are you really in the B block ? Yes, I got offered loads of B block stuff in the AMEX presale, and in the Facebook presale, and in the O2 Priority presale ... but really !! Just FORGET IT. Understand the game they play, how they work, and you're halfway there. The secondary market is another kettle of fish altogether, that is just a con and a rip-off pure and simple.

Welcome to the world we live in, it ain't pretty !!

To the contrary, I think I was really UNLUCKY. These were presales don't forget, a perfectly reasonable assumption is that you're going to get offered something good, just at an earlier opportunity - that's to say before the general public sale. So being offered rubbish, and lots of it at that ... isn't really being lucky - is it ? And I am NOT saying the B blocks are rubbish, but when you're specifically looking for either blocks 101, 112, or the tongue pit - and all you get offered are blocks 106 & 107 and the BACK of the B floor blocks, you're not overly impressed. And I certainly WASN'T.
Well actually that's the one I have.
I was just wondering how many more people here didn't keep their cool and bought a ticket. I can hardly imagine I'm the only one.
I'm still hoping I can get an upgrade when I get to the arena.

I was just wondering how many more people here didn't keep their cool and bought a ticket. I can hardly imagine I'm the only one.
I'm still hoping I can get an upgrade when I get to the arena.

The thing is, at these very high face value prices, as one poster on here has already commented .... it is not exactly the easiest thing in the world to upgrade and at the same time be 100% sure that you can rid yourself of your existing tickets. If we were talking £50 or £75, it would be a lot easier. But at £400 a pop, I am sure that most of us do not know too many people that will readily "help you out" by gladly taking one or several £400 tickets off your hands, just because you happen to have found something better. And as we're in the process of discovering with each passing day, it IS rapidly becoming a buyers' market. The scalpers have seriously over-estimated demand at these prices, and the secondary market prices are crashing with a vengeance.

So taking all that into consideration, if you're intending to ugrade and NOT lose money, try and make sure that you've got a buyer for your existing tickets before you commit to buying something else .... otherwise you're going to find that the Rolling Stones at the O2 in 2012 is going to be a mighty expensive exercise for you. Good luck to you.

It's not crashing fats enough for my liking. My time is running out, even if I were to place my Block 107 pair on eBay with a one day sale (only way I would like to shift them not wanting to gamble finding a buyer on the day) I need to be doing that by Wednesday really.

On Ticketmaster, I just pulled up a Bronze seat package at the Barclays for $950.
Section 207 row 7. So for $950 You get the Honor of sitting in the 7th row in the Balcony. Im Sorry but they have HUGE F%*^ing Balls.

thats what im hoping to do, sunday lower tier ticket for £100

i was in gold circle at stade de france in 2007 which cost about €90 (£60 at the time) - £400 this time is not an option unfortunately. but im going to try so hard to be there

i just moved to london in the last month so hoping it all works out next weekend - somehow!

Last minute upgrading is risky with a concert like this, where the face price is so expensive. In my experience, however, the better your original ticket, the easier it is to upgrade. For example, if you have an A block ticket to begin with, and you see a closer row or the pit in a "ticket drop", you can feel a bit more confident grabbing it because you will almost certainly be able to sell your original ticket for something close to what you bought it for. I've done that a few times, and usually I get the face price back, sometimes a slight loss or profit. It helps to have a good Ebay rating.

I was at that show and it was great. France is the best place to see FOS general admission shows!! Compared to other major cities, there are always much fewer people willing to line up to be close to the stage. I've never figured out why . . . perhaps it's such a beautiful city that people don't want to waste a day standing in line?

Anyway,

Yep, I completely agree. I too was in that Golden Circle at the Stade De France, and apart from not recalling exactly how much it cost (someone said €90 or £60 - a LOT less than £400 in the year 2012 it suffices to say) - the other thing that I can specifically recall however is how uncrowded it was. There was just tons and tons of space in there, it was simply brilliant.

Thanks, and people, please also be aware there appears to be a TM ticket drop happening at the moment, I was just offered seat 98 in row Y (crap) block 103 for the 29th. Not interested myself, but it is interesting to note that seat 98 is towards the end of that block that's nearer the stage, the higher numbers take you further away. So little by little block 103 is obviously filling up.

Agree. Personally, I think that for those folk still looking for tickets and that are not constrained by the mechanics of "upgrading to better and then having to shift the existing" - come next week they'll be spoilt for choice. I mean sure, IF I was a scalper, I'd be holding out for some kind of a profit till the "last minute". Well hell, that "last minute" will be well and truly upon the scalpers in a weeks' time, and the way things are looking at the moment, it seems like come that time, it will as you rightly point out, quite likely be very much a buyers' market.

Odd...Were they planning on having Mick pop up at the top of 101 and then fly back to the stage and decided against it ? ;-)
