saw them in NYC last month - truly a great band playing with Ian, and the new album is quite good (Fatally Flawed is my favorite)

Great show tonight at the Bush. Made even better by Mick Ralphs coming on for Dudes.

Just got back from Shepherd's Bush . Great gig . Ian Hunter is still rocks , is a great performer and in brilliant voice . A couple of the songs off his new album are as good as anything he's done .

Saw him in Glasgow on Saturday. Great gig. Am enjoying the new album and thought the new material held up very well live. And, yes, all for £20.

I.H. is ageless...he seems to have stopped the clock a few years back. Would love to see that band again on this tour- they play so many fine songs so well.

Thanks Simon. I agree that he seems ageless. I first saw him live in 1975 and there was no less energy when I saw him last week. He seemed to be changing the setlist quite a bit too. Guy that we spoke to had seen him the previous evening and there were five different numbers.

The new album has a lot of strong material and he seemed to enjoy playing it live. When he came back to encore in Glasgow, we were all expecting the SingalongaMott section and he did Ta Shunka Witco (Crazy Horse) off the new album. Pulled it off big time, too. Shows a lot of confidence in the new material, I thought. Oh and then we did get SingalongaMott and very enjoyable it was too!

Hope we don't have to wait too long to see him again. He certainly didn't look or sound like a man who was considering retirement!

I hope he can live well from what he is doing. He has always been one of the best!

LOSERS! Haven't they understood the world has changed a LOT since the 60's? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!
Here's the correct way to go : nowadays you sell your name (I almost wrote "brand") for an obscene amount of money and you don't care about delivering a good show (I almost wrote "good product").

Cheers Braincapers. I was playing with my new camera and these were the best of loads of shots, all of which lacked that Mick Ralphs factor!

Great shows. Ian very much on form, band tight as a duck's arse and a great new album to showcase.

A very hard act to follow and I for one ain't lashing out a fortune to sit at the back of the O2 next month!

I am so excited to see Ian live on December 8. He's playing a fundraiser here in Buffalo. $28US a ticket in advance, in 1000 capacity club.

Las year the organizers raised enough to provide 200,000 pounds of food to the local foodbank. Going for more this year. They have a great auction of rock memorabilia too. Great cause.

If you're in our near Buffalo (Rochester, Cleveland, Toronto) it's worth the drive...just for the cause....and VERY worth the $28 to see Ian Hunter, from the reviews he is getting.

You'll have a great time, buff. Not seen a bad review or heard a single negative comment about the current tour. Just wish I had a chance to see him again this tour, but guess I'll have to wait. He's been playing quite a bit of the new album, so it's definitely worth giving it a few spins to familiarise yourself with the material before you go along to the gig. Hope you manage to post a review here!

Thanks Silver Dagger. Personally I'm giving the O2 a miss this time round (although if I lived closer I would probably turn up on the night with a couple of hundred in cash and see what I could get). Hope you get a decent ticket. Will miss the pre-event socialising at the Pilot Inn!

Superb photos indeed, sounds like he is on fine form. I saw him at Hammersmith Odeon a year or two back and he was excellent then. Great to hear he is continung to perform quality music........reasonably priced Rock 'n' Roll!

And he's back next March!

Bloody Hell, so he is! I can find details of four gigs. Hopefully more to come. Surely "The Flyin' Scotsman" will be coming farther North?
