Well ,I have a couple of 1997 ~ 1998's so I thought that it would be nice to plug the hole with something from 1999. No, I didn't attend any of the EURO concerts (wrong side of the pond).

Toronto 1999 is a very good one but I'm not a fan of audience recordings.

Oh yeah, that Stuttgart boot did have excellent sound. I didn't realize for the longest time that it wasn't a soundboard. Still, I would love to have one that featured a performance of "Moonlight Mile".

The Falo-matrix, which is available on hungercity, of Oakland 1999 is real good sounding, from what I heard. It features Moonlight Mile.....and so does that excellent "While the Wind Blows over Toronto" boot that Munich mentioned. When audience recordings are THAT excellent, I see no specific need for SBD recordings

that's correct, snow-boy....there's nothing inherently superior about a sbd...give me a killer aud recording anyday...

19th Nervous Breakdown sounds awesome. Dirty dirty rock 'n' roll.

Shouldn't it be available on Stones Archive by now??

Great mix. The bass stands out, unfortunately not in a good way. Darryl phones it in and does not click with the kick, for the most part.

This release makes the decision whether or not to pay obscene prices to see this lineup much easier. Pass.

Thanks for the videos. For some of these songs, watching the footage is a bit more rewarding than just the audio. It looks like they have very limited footage from this show...shame...this looks like the best show of the entire tour. If only "Shine A Light" was filmed on that night...I think that would've far more dramatic than the NYC show. Here, it's their first live performance in four two years...more at stake than that "where's the setlist?" BS they tried to pull on us in SAL. You have everyone in top form here. Plus, look how small that stage was. Amazing. You automatically play differently when you're standing that close to your other band member---not yards away on a stadium stage.

The first half of the show is worth the $5 to buy this recording. Great versions of these rarely played songs. The warhorse section is nothing really special. Keith sounds very weirdly subdued in the mix here. He kicks off "Tumblin Dice" and "Brown Sugar" and "Jumpin Jack Flash" with barely a whimper. Struck me very odd.

Solid recording. I would've preferred a '95 club show over this but this will do.

(buzzer noise)

Try two -- they toured in 2003.

Now that I think about it, it's kind of amazing that they only took one year off the road between 2002-2007.

The reason they didn't release a complete film of the gig is the quality of the footage. Someone tell them to give me a call!

Love this release btw. Interesting set. They need to release Paradiso 95!

Now, this is a hardcore fan item if anything; costs next to nothing, gathers absolute 0% interest outside the hardcore fan circles, and even there pleases only some most devoted fans of this era and bootleg completists.

As pointed out here, for that cost it is a fine product an sich but knowing the context and deal, to me that is a wasted oppurtunity to do something for their legacy. Damn equality and democrazy in these kind of matters. Their shows and eras are not equal, and it is blindness to deny that.

After the thrill caused of a surprisingly good new single, now it feels like being brought back to teh cruel reality of the Vegas Era: the ticket price fiasco, then a show like this released.. and feels like rethinking my fandom..sad smiley

But there is so much things happening in the Stones world at the moment, So who am I to complain; even after disappointments like these, there are more "lovely things" to come. CROSSSFIRE HURRICANE will be in cinemas today, and CHARLIE IS MY DARLING will be coming soon... smileys with beer

If memory serves, the previous vault releases was made available about 3 o clock, UK time. So probably this one, as well.

Bet they're making us waiting to promote their Brussels Affair boxset+tickets bundel thing ...

BTW does anyone know if these ridiculously pricey boxsets are selling well?

surprised by so much negativity toward this release, though I guess I shouldn't be. It sounds great, and a lot of fun. Just because they're releasing six to start with doesn't mean there won't be followups over the coming years. El Macambo, Olympia, something from 1999, the list of possibilities is endless.

It may be hard for some to enjoy this because they have a predetermined idea in their head about what should be released, and anything short of that will fall flat. that's how I interpret a lot of the posts, anyway.

I suggest enjoying it for what it is. A solid show, lots of unusual stuff, a band having fun, and certainly - CERTAINLY - worth five bucks!

Yes, but you got the 50th book in July and I think we finally get it this month. You're getting Crossfire Hurricane in theaters ahead of us getting it on a pay cable service in November. And you're getting the Stones live in London ahead of us getting it in New Jersey, of all places.
