As usual, an overcompressed, overloud, overproduced chorus. Thanks to Don Was on that count. Sounds like everything else the Stones have done since the 80s.

Best thing is the odd drum production. Charlie sounds like he's playing a cardboard box.

Just doesn't move me, even though I expected as much.

but there are some words and notes and stuff like that....

doom and gloom is taking over me. You notice mick and Keith always talking about dreams and seeing faces they live in a quasi subconscious state.. sunshine bores the daylights outta me. learned from pyschedlics weed and shrooms we r conscious of ripple effect amongst all of us its like a wave of feeling, we are all connnected like that like a bunch of fish in the ocean or something. amazing how they take nothing tangible (bad mood bad economy) and make something out of it that is real. that makes money (bonus) wow

Shout out to Lynyrd Skynyrd in first verse (though they were fairly sober when the plane went down 35 years ago next week) ... Lyrically similar, overall, to "It Must Be Hell." Rhyming "gloom and doom" with "boom boom boom" is embarrassing. Lousy production, though listening on an iPad doesn't help.

Sorry Dean, I usually agree with you but I don't see it as a "shout out to Lynyrd Skynyrd. I spent a lot of time in Mississippi that horrible weekend and had long conversations with the doctors. They WERE sober. The pilots? Another story.

MunichHilton, we're on the same wavelength. And, let me say that I enjoy this forum very much. I'm always looking for the silver lining in life. But folks, aside from our boys recording together in the same or nearly same rooms, this music SUCKS. I guess you can learn to like anything if you do it enough, but really, no need for blind adolation when the reality is that good music TRANSCENDS us to a higher place. Remember that? Yes, you do. The Rolling Stones have done that for us in so many incarnations, whether it be the "first blush" 60s Brian Jones era, the Golden Age Mick Taylor era, or the the "alt-groove" 70s band. But if they keep putting out this canned crap I'm gonna throw up.

Find a @#$%& foundation again Jagger/Richards. Go away on a holiday somewhere and j each other off, anything to find something real, then put it on hard disk. Honestly I don't know how it's gonna happen. I was hoping for the same thing in the 1990s. Are we done? Hope springs eternal...

My Opinion? ok. It sounds like an Mick Jagger solo song, not a Rolling Stones song. To clean, to easy. A nice pop song but that's it.

It beats the hell out of any of the 'new cuts' on Forty Licks, the Rough Justice/SOL single, most of Voodoo Lounge, and everything off Bridges to Babylon with the exception of Saint of Me.

sigh. you're just floating in the moment. wait a couple of months and the glow will wear off and you'll rue the day you liked this little turd...i'm ruing today in general...it's better to get the ruing out of the way early....
