I was listening to Devo's recorded cover of '(I Can’t Get Me No) Satisfaction', which is interesting and great.
Ugh, not great to me, it's one of the worst covers that i've ever heard!
Devo is well known around the globe for their song 'Whip It'.
I have to wonder though if Keith Richards and Steve Jordan got the idea for the X-Pensive Winos song title 'Whip It Up' from Devo.
With no knowledge about this one way or the other, I still feel confident in saying ...Not a chance.
I strongly doubt Keef paid attention to any covers that could be interpretated as a parody aka ''taking the piss'' at one of his songs...

Isn’t “Whip it up” colloquialism for “Make it” or “Make it happen”
