Someone send this with an annonymous email today.

No offence, but must you promote your website at EVERY opportunity ??

My answer amigo:
Like other people in this site with different links?
By the way is an offence you are writing anonymously?
Do you think that's serious?¿
I am not promoting my website, just giving information like you, me or
others when they link to NY Times YouTube or other articles on internet.
C'mon give me break and enjoy the Sunday day, don't you think? do you have a
problem with that, if it so or anyone tell me.
Carlos

Well at least your not promoting it in pop-ups on my browser or embedding them in Stones videos.

As far as Farm Aid goes all I can say is "No Farms, No Food". A good cause although, as a farmer, I wonder where the benefits are actually going. Not much has changed for the better for most farmers, seriously debt and risking the farm with each new crop. The investment is huge and alot can go wrong. We lost an entire field of vegetables to aphids this year, maybe Willie and Jack Johnson can come do a benefit for us? Those corn growers in the midwest only survive because of the gov't subsidies, nothing free market about it.

Buy Local and Organic movements although attractive at first glance may contribute to the desolate hunger and poverty in third world countries. That is what a 25 year study by the British Gov't concluded anyway (it was the longest term and largest study I've ever seen done on the global food supply). The trend tends to build a food fence around the growing areas like California at the expense of everyone outside the fence. It's a complex issue. peace
