I wasn't aware those were import prices, but still who is going to pay $23, $55 and $189? I want the two new songs, but there is no way i am going to pay that.
Are the Stones and their MGT team aware that almost nobody in 2012 buys cd's especially at those prices? I would offer the cheapest set for around $12 if I wanted to move some cd's.

Now we have to buy records without knowing the tracks listing but in a next futur, we'll buy records without knowing the artists.
Hey Darling, Very good anwser, I could write that one for each thread on this board. Who's forcing you to... Really, just the front cover is visible and we Kniow names of 2 songs. If it was a single, should be OK but there...Quote

I just preordered my
Grrr! (Greatest Hits) (Limited Super Deluxe Version) for only 39.99 EUR at amazon.de - much less than in the US or UK, but looks like the same edition (SAME ASÌN etc.)
I don´t think there will be two versions of the SUPER DELUXE Version, so this is the cheapest way to get it even in the UK or UK (of course adds some shipping costs). You can use your amazon.co.uk or amazon.com account on amazon.de.
It is released on Nov. 9th, so it will probably arrive at the same time as the local release (in the UK at least).

These are WAY cheaper on amazon.co.uk
When converted to US dollars, and including shipping about $23, $36 and $116 respectively. The priciest I found was the vinyl set, 101 Euro's but includes the shipping.
They all further discount in your shopping cart, just before you pay.

And US albums are always far cheaper than they are in the UK. Rule of thumb is usually that CDs in the US cost a similar amount in dollars to what they cost in pounds in the UK.
So, using that yardstick, I think its a safe bet that (as usual) these prices wont be the final ones.

Ordering from Canada or presumably the US, knocks the price down to 33 Euros, but 10 for shipping. Still a screaming buy comparedthe the $234 list price on Amazon.com or $120 on Amazon.ca

Funny though, I've been able to buy some amazing CDs from amazon.co.uk in the last few years far below the US or Canadian prices....we're talking catalogue albums, not new releases mind you.

yep..thats certainly believable.
Generally, if I'm buying a new boxed set - like Neil Young's "Archives" or the 15-CD Dylan SA-CD box from a few years ago for example - I've tended to order them from the US, as even with the cost of airmail its a substantial saving.
The thing that we do have to watch for in the UK is import duty, which is quite prohibitive on anything over about £20 and can end up defeating the purpose of getting an import. So if its not possible to get the package addressed to myself as a gift, I instead get it addressed to my wife. A small detail which can end up saving about £20-30 at times.

Thanks, Voodoohunter! It looks like a mistake. But sometimes surpriseshappen. When Beatles published their Stereo and mono- Boxsets I was lucky to order - and receive - a Mono-boxset from a amazon.co.uk-seller for just £ 16 (including postage). Which was less than a tenth of the listprice at the time.
