I am disappointed by the lack of new things.

I was expecting more new tracks, and/or something done "à la" Tattoo You way.

But 2 (two) new tracks is really not much...

:-(

I can't wait for the interview explaining this childish artwork. No one will actually like this artwork. It makes ZERO sense. There is no back story, no theme, NOTHING that can redeem this artwork. Will we get a jungle-themed stage? Mick as Tarzan? Keith falls out of coconut tree before starting the first song? Charlie on bongos?

This is stupid.

You guys are reacting as if this compilation is the final product you'll ever get from The Stones. It's not. Quit being selfish babies!

They just missed the point to call it quits years ago. The creative output of 5 mostly mediocre albums and some really shitty songs in 30 years says it all. And it doesn't get better including the Jagger solo reworked Exile and SG outtakes.

When should they come up with a new album if not now?

I will not give a shit for a compilation, but I'll sure you the cover will make noise in Argentina!! (if you don't know, "gorila" is the way peronistas call those critics of his movement)

LOVE THE COVER!!

I'd rather have had something more elegant.
Queen had a great logo on their 2nd best of. Why not doing something similar with the lip and tongue design ?

This can be funny for a single, and I respect the artist's work but IMHO it is not the best possible idea for the main artwork.

A 50th anniversary isn't something funny. It's an achievement.

Are we going to pay the tickets with peanuts and bananas ?

This cover art might have worked better for the Kinks

Two new songs in seven years. Don't worry everyone, at that rate we'll have a new album by 2042, at which time they will also release 80 Licks.

told y'all you'd be underwhelmed...lol

Prophetic album title relating to the fans' reaction and maybe prophetic song titles for the band's future as well!

very well said...

"The hints and apps and teases etc were aimed at a generation that didnt grow up listening to the Stones and for whom a greatest hits release is reasonably exciting.

Their genuine fanbase, in contrast, was always going to treat this with one big collective yawn.
"

Hopefully the longtime older generatíon like me will get a treat somehow.

Will listen to the new songs on the net - but will not buy Grrrr. Have not bought any of the other rereleases etc. they have done the last many years.

Had still hoped for some news about the consert in November / December, but will wait until mid September then.

Remember when Rolling Stones album covers were cutting edge and dangerous, and used top graphic designers and photographers top create them? Well, it's come to this, my friends. A first-year art student with a 6-pack and Photoshop could have done this in 15 minutes. Awful.

But only if he lacks all talent.

I can live with poor artwork, if it is attached to a new album, not another compilation.

I'm not too disappointed given my low expectations. Saddened is more like it. But since I only have Brown Sugar on 12 other albums I'll be sure to rush out and buy this immediately, as long as they sell it to me in a plain brown paper bag.
