One thing I wonder about - did they ever refund the Legacy Platinum payments made by club members? In the last year (or two?), there were no shows, and no fan club DVD or anything else. Did they give those fans back the money?

One more question - any reports of the tongue section available in the general sale, or strictly VIP packages?

i gave them a couple of years of membership money for no reason and no refund!

one fan (i guess i'll call her a shidoobee) did get a tongue pit ticket for $800+. i think she just kept trying the facebook code long after it said sold out!

Nothing against those who will attend the shows, but this time i will stay home, 1st time since 1982. And do you know what? I feel good, i feel free, i feel lighter

1st tour I am missing too, since 1982, and it doesn't bother me.

you live in a land with more reindeer than people. does THAT bother you? just trying to get a gauge on your bother-meter....

Personally i don't find good to pay all this money, including flight to london and 1-2 nights in hotel, even if personally I could afford it. But i am not disturbed if many people go helping stones and british economy. At all.

ok...well that gives us a least a marker to work with...

Likewise, paid a year or two extra.
Wow, really, on the FB sale? I tried for a while after the supposed sell-out, got nothing...good persistence,
congrats to that person. (Hi, LQ!)

they rehearsed last week at Plaine St Denis. studio place where Besson made his "Cité du Cinéma" and where tv shows are recorded. I guess they made the doom and gloom video and rehearsed the songs

"we know it's a bit late but we hope you don't mind if we stay"

You mean there are people so out of touch with reality that they are actually looking for a "refund"?!

Got them for both Newark shows. Must say, one show is on the 200 level, which is too damn high for $250, but it's my drug. Can't say no to the boys! Rock-n-roll!!!

Section 7 for me.... better than the Bronze VIP tickets they offered on Sat, which was section 112 at $200.00 more per ticket.

I'm happy... I was planning on going both nights, which would have cost me about the same, so I'll go one night.

I set up two computers. One with my AMEX info and the other with a friends. I then went back and forth. I was unable to pull up two $500 seats together so I went for a single. BOOM! Got one in the rear mezzanine using my buddy's info. Went to my account for one and got a "no." Went back for another single on my buddy's account and BOOM! Got a second seat in the rear mezzanine ---- RIGHT NEXT TO THE FIRST ONE! How cool (and weird) is that?

As of 2:10pm EDT you can still get $800 tickets in pairs but even those are at about mid-court or center ice or what have you. It would appear the front half of the house is being sold to the GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE customers beginning at $900+ per!!!

What this means is EVEN THE PEOPLE BUYING THE $800 SEATS ARE GETTING HOSED!.

Can you imagine the collection of Wall Street jerkoffs and their trophy women that will populate the good seats?

1. Wall street exec asks smoking hot secretary to Stones show.
2. She says yes.
3. She takes her time getting ready, so by the time they go have dinner and drinks, they arrive during the 3rd song.
4. About an hour later, (75 minutes into the set) she wants to leave.
5. Figuring he's going to get some, he agrees.
6. When they get to her place, before he could say anything, she thanks him, gives him a peck on the cheek, lets him know she has to sleep off the headache she got from the loud music, and she'll see him in the office tomorrow.

regarding refunds, some people on shidoobee reported get refunded when the old fan site expired and the current one started. turns out the credit card they used was still current. mine expired. you think that would bring me a little love concerning this go around.

2007 Secret Barcelona Deutsche Bank Show

Thanks for posting this. Looks like the bankers were a pretty good audience.
Even for a song they were unfamiliar with.

No wonder the Stones are sticking with bankers for the club gig(s). Good
audience plus they get paid $6 or $7 mill.

Right?

So also no wonder they're charging what they're charging at O2 and the Pru.
Just as rocking an audience as you'd probably get from a fan club (not as
knowlegable of course, but knowlege can just screw up emotion sometimes).
Plus they get paid $6 or $7 mill.

I think I'm starting to see the light about these shows. These shows won't be
any better or any worse because of the audience they've chosen. The Stones will
either come through brilliantly or they won't. They've certainly put a lot of
pressure on themselves with these prices. Let's hope that, against the odds,
they triumph. Because otherwise, its over.

On the other hand, you have the added factor of a high-paying audience really
really wishing the Stones well and pulling for them. Because nobody wants to
look like a fool for paying so much. And the Stones of course feed off such
a positive vibe.

Ever since these shows were rumored, I just couldn't see the purpose. I thought
Gazza's idea that they were risking everything to see if they could still
do it was ridiculous, especially with the pay-per-view thrown in. I thought
there was absolutely no way they could ever pass such a brutal test, so
something else had to be up. But more and more it looks like that is exactly
what the Stones have done. Put themselves on the spot like I can't imagine
anybody doing. When there were so many easier ways to go about this, and
guarantee a lot more money. Wow do they got balls. And I definitely mean that
in a good way.

The Rolling Stones will play small warm-up shows, possibly to take place in Paris, for their forthcoming sold-out dates in London and New York, Ronnie Wood says.

Speaking to NME, guitarist Ronnie Wood said the band may perform under their Cockroaches guise in breaks from rehearsing Paris. Speaking about the veteran band's rehearsal schedule, he said: "We’re all making a concentrated effort of being there on time every day, we start at three o’clock in the afternoon, we go through to dinner time, we have one break and so far everything has been [like] an operation, nose to the grindstone. We wanna give 200 per cent." He said:
There’s going to be little club gigs that we’re gonna surprise ourselves to do as well, we’ll bung a few in next week or the week after, so look out for any Cockroaches gigs or whatever! I don’t know who we’ll be billed as but we’ll turn up somewhere and put a few to the test. Tiny, 200, 300 people kind of places.
