New MOJO article on Brian Jones

Finally, a very good article on Brian Jones, which pretty much credits him for the formation of the Rolling Stones. What was also interesting about the piece written by Paul Trynka was his assertion that Brian was the mastermind behind turning the masses onto the blues and making it a global force. He tells of how singer Paul Jones turned Brian's invitation down to join forces with him in 1962 because he thought the blues was never going to take off. The article describes the London blues scene as 'tribal' and stagnant until Brian Jones showed up with his 'religious devotion' and musical acumen, and took it to another level. Very interesting story which challenges recent 'official' accounts (ie. Rolling Stones, Martin Scorcese, etc.) that Brian was a fringe figure in the early days, less important than Mick, Keith, and even Ian Stewart.
