Weren't we all wondering how they would find a sufficiently impressive way to announce the new tour?
The Who, Ray Davies, Beatles, David Bowie, but NO STONES = the most outrageous insult.
I'm also amazed no nod to Zeppelin.
It is the new status quo.... oh well...

Well, my best friend just called because it was shown that MICK will be a part of the closing ceremonies! No real info, just a full-face photo of Mick as one of the closers! EVERYONE STAY TUNED!

Good thing I watched it on CTV. This way I don't have to waste 3 hours of primetime viewing tonight. NBC finally got it right at the very end. Now I can read a nice book in an air conditioned room.

Need help here.....I'm watching on NBC TV and for 20 minutes all we've had is a rehash of the winners. Nothing against the althletes, but where is this "afterparty"?
And......can I go to bed and read a book OR is there still a chance for our band to show?
ETA: Never mind - I read back a few pages and it looks like another rumour quashed. Off to bed soon with a good book.
