Well yesterday I heard THE ROLLING STONES version of Lonely at the top. Well I cannot compare which is better as both are different in there own ways. However I would like to know whether Mick Jagger's version is same as THE ROLLING STONES version. Music wise of cause totally different

I've alway preferred the Stones early version, whereas the Mick solo version has always reminded me of Kenny Loggins' Footloose.

It reminds me more of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band's "Shakedown".

The Solo version needs more Stones, and the Stones version needs better Mick.

I love Mick's version.

Never heard the Stones version until today. It's great too.

Would have love to have heard Keith on the intro to Mick's version.

Musically they are different The Stones are plodding through and it's messy.

Mick's solo version is completely different.

The StonesĀ“ version of "Lonely at the top" and "Not the way to go" sound like twin songs to my ears!
