Rock stars and acting isn't a good idea to begin with. When they appear they break the spell. The only thing you think of is..."look, there is Mick Jagger".
Metal detectors looks like a more intelligent choice compared to that. Sutor, ne ultra crepidam.

+1 , then factor getting older and look at who gets the parts ? Not even the heavyweights in Hollywood are immune to this . For example the great Robert Deniro -look at what scripts are offered to him the last decade (Bad Grandpa to name one of the plum parts )

True, to an extent, but DeNiro recently did The Irishman, and before that Silver Linings Playbook, for example.
