I am sure you are right. I've only heard fleeting mentions of it. It has been mainly described to me as kindof an acoustic version but I take that to mean the track pre-DJ'ing. Juice and Lowdown are by far my favorite tracks on that album..

juice is the saving grace of an otherwise lackluster record. too many latter-era stones albums lack enough luster, dammit.

Would you please enlarge on this?

it's not a different version...but a different mix that keef apparently preferred...talked about it at the time of the album's release. there's the long, long version that circulates widely (10 minutes or so, i recall)...but i don't think that's what drake is talking about...

I'm referring to the holy grain Keith version which I have heard rumors of.. The 10 minute version is the remix right?

I alwas thought that the Keith version of MAWGJ was used for the No Security intro:

I don't think so.This one was produced for the tour-opening and doesn't sound like what Keith talked of.

It was also played on WNEW in NY. I heard it twice in 1 day and the next morning the DJ said Stones lawyers do not want it played.

If you indulge me for a minute, this was also a time Mick was in NY promoting Undercover and did a Friday Night Videos interview in which She Was Hot and other EDITED Undercover videos were aired. This may be the track used for overdubs and/or edits.

Anyone reccommend what to get for Windows to open the files for She Was Hot and UOTN? There's some reigstry scanner but I already have one. Is it different? This kind of thing I don't understand.

BH: I heard that you weren't too enarmoured of the Dust Brothers' approach to recording, but Might As Well Get Juiced really Cooks

Keith: Yeah, but I got a monster version of Juiced that really cooks like a mother, maaaaaaaan. It's still an interesting trip, if you dunno you got another in the can that burn the @#$%& outta that one! y'dig? Actually, I had very little to do with them. I'm like, "Whaddya want me to do?" And they're like, "Oh, just do what you always do." I'm thinking, That's producing?!?

It is just an extended version of the album track, recorded in the studio. The first part of the song is pretty much the same version as the album version (apart from some small "extensions" like the additional verse with the telephone). However when the album version fades out, this one continues for some more minutes. So, as I said, it's an extended album version.

I can understand why the end whas finally skipped.
Too much synths in my opinion.

UC sounds more "spooky" at the beginning, but this can also be
caused by the poor sound quality.......

Heard this when it was leaked too early by a local DJ. What a bummer it wasn't included on the original album. I love the long version.

Always bothered me that they didn't include this version on the album.

Er, because there's lots of mistakes on the ending? It is just standard Stones studio recording strategy they had from 77 to 84: let's record 10 minutes of a song, and then let Chris Kimsey edit it back to a 3.30 track, an extended 4.50 track, and a 12 inch remix track.

The part after the fade out is nice for us fans, but it is clear why the have omitted it: Watts makes several mistakes, including a full stop, Wyman makes a mistake, and the guitars miss direction. Not too mention Chuck Leavell overplays on the ending. A version without the DJ intro circulates among collectors.

Only time in history of rock that Chuck plays a great piano. Perfect. A bit too American (for the Stones) - a bit too close to Bruce. I love it.
