OT: RIP author Anne Rice

She just passed. Her most known work is "Interview With The Vampire". Two of her more interesting novels, away from the vampire chronicles and such, are based on history of the era in which they are set: "Cry To Heaven" and "The Feast Of All Saints". Well worth discovering.

Might have to go to Popeyes and get me some Red Beans Anne Rice.

The feud between her and Al Copeland was hilarious. His offensive restaurant was indeed ugly. There's nothing Las Vegas about St Charles Avenue.

Dr John wrote the Popeyes jingle.

I used to go by her house often. In New Orleans nobody noticed her. But the tour guides... it was awful at times seeing all these tourons lined up just to look at her house - which, hilariously, she did not live in.
