nice job of getting repros of the 1963 posters for the wall behind them...the Rollin' Stones

Nice little photoshop job they did eh? Fake Marquee background and then they just inserted the new group shot right in front. Pretty good!

It's taken from their official Facebook site and the signature says:

"This photo of The Rolling Stones by world famous photographer Rankin was taken in London today to mark the 50th anniversary of the Rollin’ Stones first ever live performance on 12 July 1962 at the iconic venue on London’s Oxford Street."

Well it's a cleverly written description! No doubt the picture was taken in London today but the picture is specifically to commermorate the Marquee gig. Not necessarily that this pic was taken AT the venue today.

No papparazzi or news about them rushing out to the Marquee to snap this pic? Judging by the colors this was no quick picture...the lights and shadows suggest sophisticated lighting in a controlled environment like a studio.

Charlie has his arms crossed. Clearly he has a stomach condition. It's most likely severe because he's not really smiling in the photo.
Mick's left ankle is obviously broken.
Keith's got his arm on his chest. Obviously he's having chest pain.
And judging by the way Ronnie is holding onto his pants for dear life, he's got painful bowel movements.

As a photographer: this pic is photoshopped to death. NO WAY this is taken outside at the Marquee, it's done in a studio.

Oh brother, here we go analyzing their health from a photograph. To my eyes it just looks like the lighting is a little harsh on their skin, even their hands look a bit washed out. You would think if they were going to photoshop it, they could have improved their skin tones. But I'm not complaining, it's so great to see them all together again!

They did...........

My point was I don't think they did a very good job.

I think they look great. Keith would probably look better without the shades, but it's absolutely great to see them together.

If they sounded as well in NJ as reports came in, why not play a few songs tomorrow somewhere?

What's near where the press conference is scheduled that could be used as a place to play a few songs - like they did in NYC when all the reporters were inside and they came rolling by on a truck....

Not that it will change opinions, but Rolling Stone magazine does state the pic was taken today in London
