Anyone with a positive tip about tommorow's event?

We know the Stones will be at Somerset House for a 'private function' on the 12th. We also now know that they've just spent a week rehearsing--but why, when they say they may be playing shows at the end of the year? That's not something you would rehearse a week for in July. Therefore, it is tempting to speculate that a set of music will be played at Somerset House today--perhaps to be filmed and included in this fall's documentary release... I mean, it would be a nice coup for them to have a little club-sized 50th anniversary gig played and recorded for inclusion in their upcoming 50th anniversary documentary. Otherwise, why would you bother rehearsing for a week around this time?...

Good points stonesnow. I'm gutted as the exhibition closes daily at 6pm and I'm working today although I'll be there tonight to see Anna Calvi in concert.

i made it, i am in london and i am going to somerset in the afternoon to do some stones watching D tonight i have a ticket for anna calvi so it's going to be fun anyway
but the greatest part was this morning as i catch a bus to barnes and pay a visit to the site where once there were the olympic studios and now are building some cinemas.
i was lucky enough that a very nice worker there allowed me in to se what remains of the recording studios! i'll share the photos i made as soon as possible )

if anyone wants to catch up to celebrate this evening i'll be checking my email

They haven't just spent a week rehearsing. The rehearsing they speak of was the stuff that went down in London before, then New York.

Why would they rehearse? Cos they haven't played togther since 2007. Takes time to get a band back together in a musical sense after such a long gap.

Do you know for sure that they haven't rehearsed in the last week? Highly unlikely but it's possible. Why did they bother rehearsing in New York in that case? There was nothing to promote there either.

i've been rehearsing my setlist whining recently, too. gotta work out the kinks and work off the rust and stuff...

They got together to play to see what's what, touch base, reacquaint themselves, film stuff for documentary etc.

Modern photography can be so crap!

Kinda nice to see them together... but the actual photo, the fakery, the ott editing etc etc is terrible.
