Rust and all, I LOVE this gig.

Wonderful set list, Mick's broken voice, IORR false starts ...

If you are going to run a song to 7 minutes there better be a lyrical or musical point. This song doesn't have one. By the time of the great finish the song has become tedious. This performance is no worse than any other of them. Though there is a nice little backing riff at the start of this one. For me this song capsulizes much of the Woody era: musically uninteresting.

hey, it's only been four decades...every band hits a low period now and then.

The best version ever performed of that song (in known recorded form) has to be this from Ft. Worth... (Handsome Girls is the better mix IMHO.) The 'peak' is just phenomenal. The beginning is just them getting warmed up. Gets better and better as it goes along...

This one one more time - the best and Bill dances in his own way, doesn't stand still like a fridge ;o)

IMAGINATION is one of the highlights in the band´s history.

The studio version is raw, soulful and mesmerizing.

And I love EVERY live version from 1978/79 and 1981/82.

Back then, the whole band could create a natural GROOVE!

really?

i dunno. i only like the temptations version of it, not any of the stones versions, much. the temps version has all that harmony singling. i just don't think this one did them (stones) any favours. it doesnt really work for me, kind of like how under the boardwalk didnt.

highlight for sure...one of their best covers and pure magic on subsequent 79-82 tours.

One of their great covers, and brilliant when they pile on it in those live recordings
