RINGO STARR SAYS NO-NO TO BEATLES SONS BAND
6/29/2012
Ringo Starr has stepped forward to nix the idea of the Beatles' sons joining forces in some musical fashion.
The little brats have been brainwashed from the time they were kids! I blame Ringo! Lots of work ahead to get them all to come together. Doesn't seem to bother Zak at all playing for The Who! Damn traitor!
It's because Ringo knows a bad idea when he hears one. And Zak is smart, not a traitor. The idea of the Beatles kids getting together was obviously one of some moron rich guy wanting to get richer. Only an idiot would come up with such an idea.

Of course they won't, this is one of the dumbest ideas ever.

It's actually a brilliant idea. It would be the biggest tour of all time and make millions happy. It's a No Brainer, but a lot of ideas never get off the ground because of fear. People come up with all kinds of reasons why something shouldn't or can't be done, but anything is possible and what harm would it do if the sons of the Beatles got together? None, that is the answer. The Beatles legacy? Nothing can be done to harm the Beatles legacy.

Did Ringo actually say he was against it? Or did he just report that his sons wouldn't do it? If Ringo is truly against it then he is just being small minded. Any idea that is guaranteed to bring joy to millions is never a bad idea! NEVER! And don't you ever forget that!

I give James McCartney credit for having the vision. Of course all the negative voices came in the moment he made the suggestion.

There about 10.000 Beatles tribute bands. That's enough. If these guys want to get together to make some new music, sure. But dressing in suits and playing "All My Loving" would be creepy and idiotic.

Damn... first Yoko breaks up the Beatles, and now Ringo...of all people... breaks up the Beatles Family. I am in total shock right now....

Oddly enough, the "millions" of people this tour would have brought joy to remained silent.

Agreed- this has to be the most bizarre ridiculous idea Ive ever heard. Why not have their ex-wives or pets or former next door neighbors tour? Surely they too are imbued with the Beatles magic. Downright creepy....

All ya have to do is look at the whack that's for it. It's that kind of (lack of) mentality that likes this kind of garbage. The talent is not in their genes "just because" of who their parents were. Anyone that believes that is (being) ignorant. That's just flat out stupid. ANYONE can play music if they want to: it's in our genes.

Yeah... but what if they were better than the Beatles?

I think youre being overly dismissive of their pets.
Who's to say Martha, Paul's Old English Sheepdog, wouldn't have emerged as a talented songwriter had she not been taken from him so early?

RINGO STARR SAYS NO-NO TO BEATLES SONS BAND
6/29/2012
Ringo Starr has stepped forward to nix the idea of the Beatles' sons joining forces in some musical fashion. Though the idea was broached by Paul McCartney's son James -- who later clarified his remarks from a British radio interview -- Starr said neither of his sons, Who drummer Zak Starkey or Jason Starkey, also a drummer, have any desire to play with McCartney or the sons of John Lennon and George Harrison. Starr told an interviewer that "Both my sons tell me they are not going to do it." Fans, then, will just have to enjoy the real thing: Starr is currently on the road with his latest All-Starr Band, while McCartney will be performing at the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympic Games on July 27 in London.

"Little brats?" Zak is going to be 47 this year...and he's been drumming for The Who for more than 15 years. I think he's been making his own decisions for quite a while now.
As for The Who/traitor nonsense, you do realize Zak greatly admired Keith Moon. Keith was his godfather, too.
Jason would be a better fit age wise. What is he doing these days?
I think Jason's only a couple of years younger than Zak.
OMG.. the Sons of the Beatles/Beatles Family "Dream" really is over then I guess.
Don't tell that to the watchman. He doesn't know what the word QUIT means! "These kids today quit for crying out loud in the kitchen! They won't even eat their Wheaties!"
watchman is a she.
he is?

Yes, and quite the "looker", too. She even made this little video, just for me.
