The Master Musicians of Joujouka review

Might have to check this out. I got turned on to Middle Eastern music while stationed in Turkey during my service time. I still have a vinyl copy (original) of Brian's recording of the group. If you can find it (I'm sure it's on utoob), there's a very cool album of Arabic flavored world beat music put out by the Putumayo folks called "Arabic Groove". It rocks.

Poor Brian. Still a trendsetter as he was sinking.

I enjoyed to have seen the Master Musicians of Jajouka and Lee Renaldo from Sonic Youth perform in 2003 in The Hague.

A Requiem for Brian Jones was held in Joujouka, Morocco from 5th to 7th July 2019.
