RIP - Christopher Plummer

Christopher Plummer has passed, aged 91. Born in Toronto, raised in Montreal and partied every damn where, I was lucky enough to see him at our Stratford Theatre in Caesar and Cleopatra, and later in The Tempest. Known for many roles from The Sound Of Music to Knives Out... a major loss to the Arts.

Very sad news. The Sound Of Music loomed large over anyone who grew up in the 60s as it was perfect family entertainment - until we knew better!

He was brilliant as Sherlock Holmes too, in Murder By Decree.

RIP Christopher Plummer.

So many brilliant performances, too many to mention. But a fun, enjoyable performance was in The Return of the Pink Panther. So suave!

RIP Mr. Plummer

RIP Christopher! I liked him in Delores Claiborne, a great movie with Kathy Bates and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Was he related to sometimes Stones bassist Bill Plummer?

So I was today-years-old when I learned he wasn't British, however being Canadian is just as good! He had incredible range, and just personified "class." Great actor. RIP.

Same here Aquamarine - I always thought he was British, and even my wife who is British thought he was British!
Some of my earliest memories are listening to the Sound of Music soundtrack album w/my older sister c. '65.

RIP - Christopher Plummer
