A good year to get humble again.

First the virus and then seeing Venus,
Saturn and Jupiter without a telescope.

Long time since I saw Venus.

I’d love to see the conjunction but this IS Seattle, so . . . although I saw the International Space Station several times a couple of weeks ago on clear nights.

This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius...

Saw it from Bradenton, Florida. Really cool.

Here in Dayton, Ohio clouds broke for about 5 minutes. Got to see this. Through binoculars you could clearly see it was 2 objects. Very cool.

I can see it in San Francisco. One of them is reddish. I thought it was a plane at first

Regrettably sky was clouded here in Hamburg, Germany yesterday.

I believe there will be another chance tonight. I'll try.

Next comparable conjunction only on March 15, 2080.

The Universe has fascinated me since I was a highschool youngster. It's beauty (ah, but don't let yourself be cheated) and at the same time its borderless violence. Figures reach the level of ridiculousness (number of galaxies, number of stars, too many zeros ...), but when you can accept its timelessness you can have this beautiful peace of mind. Billions of years from now the molecules, but certainly the atoms that are part of us, will still be floating around somewhere in the great emptiness ... forever. And they may bounce into a sound wave humming "Two thousand light years from home"

Jupiter is brighter than Mars right now and nowhere near Mars.
