Apparently only 1000 are being pressed, and each one is unique in that it's swirled color vinyl with the colors added by hand. Other than that there is nothing different about the package. A store owner did an unboxing on YouTube, and it's distinctly unimpressive in my opinion. It doesn't even come with the poster or fan club insert.

At this moment on e bay are two expensive Mono DECCA red label.
one for 799£ and one for 886£

So it's for bored collectors with too much money? Something they'll look at once, and then store away so it doesn't age, or fade, one second?

Those who collect stamps do not lick them and those who collect coins do not spend them. Yes, I carefully store my records, since 1976. No regrets.

Good grief did ABKCO ever miss several great opportunities to reissue the same thing over and over again:

EVEN MORE HOT ROCKS would've been huge.
INFINTITELY MORE HOT ROCKS would've been more in depth
ALL THE HOT ROCKS could've been a slimmed down single album version, making the title completely pointless but the marketing could've been awesome

Of course, probably the biggest one would've been HOT ROCKS 2.
