Acoustic Rolling Stones- for the musicians here

Hello Friends

It’s been a while, can I ask what Stones songs suit a duo.

My lovely wife does a beautiful harmony when I play and sing ‘the worst’ and I wonder tonight what other tunes I could play on acoustic guitar that may make our sessions more interesting

Are there any duos out there?

I’ve tried ‘Sister Morphine’ but .... there’s no room for two

After years of electric versions of JJF, Miss You and Brown Sugar etc, suggestions welcome

I’d say almost anything. Others just need a bit more rearranging than others.

Ruby Tuesday is fun

Slipping Away, that E-Dmaj7 E-A outro gives a lot of room for interesting harmonies

Continental Drift and Sing This All Together (See What Happens) really require some excellent skills for an acoustic duo, though winking smiley

I've found that, regardless of how good the song is, can it carry just on acoustic? Some of them don't.

It depends on the acoustic guitar player.

Certainly how a song is approached/played can determine it.

She Smiled Sweetly

The chorus would work well.

“Dead Flowers”. One guitar in standard tuning and the other with the bottom string dropped a whole tone down to D.

I love it, too. However, there are some parts in there that are hard to carry on the acoustic smiling smiley

I play pieces like:

Lady Jane
She smiled sweetly
Out of time
2000 man
In another land
Sympathy for the devil
Live with me
Wild horses
Dead flowers
I got the blues
Sister morphine
Moonlight mile
Sweet virginia
Sweet black angel
Shine a light
Turd on the run
Memory motel
Before they make me run
Just my imagination
All about you
Slippin away
Mean disposition
How can I stop
Allways suffering
Streets of love
Play with fire
Sitting on a fence
My obsession
Heartbreaker

I play them all with my accoustic guitar.
