Nice read on Doug Sahm, His music is well worth exploring. There's many great songs incorporating a number of genres to be found. When you read through the article and get to "She's About A Mover" and "Mendocino" crank up the sound and dance around the room.

I love Texas Tornados and the great Freddy Fender and Flaco Jiménez. And there's a Stones connection, too. Flaco played the button accordian on Sweethearts Together.

He was a great largely underrated artist. Check out the Playboy After Dark performance on youtube. I saw him a couple times in California back in those days, always a rockin' show.
