Sad news indeed. I have watched this show forever. It's like I lost a member of my family. RIP, Mister Trebek.

RIP Alex. Pancreatic cancer sucks, my mom died from it. One of those hard to detect cancers that by the time it's detected, it's too late.

Wow, a true legend. Sorry to hear this. Obviously a strong and intelligent guy that pushed it out until the end. God speed!

As much as Alex disagreed, that show will have a hard time finding his equal...

I watch Jeopardy as much as possible, as it challenges the mind. AT was the perfect host. I would say he is irreplaceable, but I am sure they will replace him, but he stands alone, a bright, articulate gentleman.

RIP Mr. Trebek. You were one of a kind.

Just heard that as a proud Canadian, he always made sure that there was a question about Canada on every episode of Jeopardy!
Another Canadian tv icon, Howie Meeker, died today. He was a former NHL hockey player and long time commentator on Hockey Night In Canada back in the 70s and 80s. RIP Howie.

Big loss , as he was a big favorite of my family and many friends . R.I.P. You will be greatly missed !

I completely agree with your sentiments ... but have heard credible rumours that Ken Jennings will be the new host. Nobody will fill his shoes, but Ken may keep them nicely polished. I suspect Alex would approve.

I haven’t heard any rumors regarding Jennings, but about a month ago I told my wife that he would be the logical choice. Either him or Howie Mandel

Howie?! [Indignant splutter!] The guy who invented the O’Henry bar in the pool gag? When he was in high school around here, he apparently decided that the school needed a cafeteria (or library) and had contractors in to bid on the job. When the school found out and called him on the carpet, he defended himself, saying ‘hey, what’s the problem? I got 2 bids!’

I agree with you, dmay! It really does feel like a member of my family passed...I watch Jeopardy every night...I even watch while away on vacation if I can! I feel very sad!
