Ah, yes, those were the daze. Another artifact of the "Swingin' 60s" who spent time in the news, usually for being busted. I remember how it was considered a truism that LSD inspired Sgt. Pepper, Satanic Majesties, Mister Tambourine Man and many other pieces of music, helping usher in the age of psychedelia and psychedelic art and music. One of the more memorable tunes noting Leary I've linked to below the article. One of my fave Moodies songs. Not sure I'd call it actually psychedelic, but it still sounds great. The phrase "tune in, turn on, drop out" was also a popular thought for some folks during that time. A different time for the world.
