Saw him live once. Great performer.

Talented singer/songwriter. Really enjoyed his work.

Unbelievable. Far too young. Harlem River Blues is one of my all time favourite records. Very sad.

RIP young man and condolences to his family and friends.

Terrible news.

Some him live a few times, enjoyed his music very much.
Same age as one of my sons.. tragic.

Yes, Harlem River Blues is a classic and he was a true artist like his dad. So sad that he passed away at such a young age.

Wow, sad news! ... Steve Earle's son, btw. I am sure most know it already but clarifying for those that maybe were not aware.

Sad - never knew any of his music or anything about him, but read a bit about him last night including his lifelong battle with drugs starting at a very young age.
Was hoping that wasn't the cause of his death thinking maybe he had overcome all that, but...damn...thoughts with his family and friends...
RIP Justin Townes Earle

It's a damn shame to see drugs claim another talent. The list is endless ....

Things I have learned in my life:

Chemical drugs are a bad idea, in spite of what The Beatles or The Stones might have led you to believe.

There is nothing cool or fun about going to a friend's funeral (or them going to yours).
