Article: Rolling Stones Album Art: The Stories Behind 26 Famous LP Covers

I'd hoped they'd have ranked the cover photo/artwork as well...my list would be:

1. Metamorphosis, TSMR & LIB
2. GYYYO & Undercover
3. High Tides & Green Grass (Fish Eye Lens cover)
4. IORR
5. December's Children (U.S.) & Aftermath (not the purple one)


Honorable mention to: Exile, SF, SG & Tattoo You for creativity. The dog's leg wearing a high heel (on sleeve) would've been my choice for TY cover.


Worst, IMO, are: GHS, B&B, Dirty Work, Steel Wheels, Voodoo Lounge.


Re: with 5K+ Boot's covers/Compilations, off the top of my head, Place Pigalle Vol.3 (the Dragon w/RS tongue with the Castle in the background), Solid Rock , inside cover of Voodoo Lounge (Skeletons etc.), Rock 'N Rolling Stones...too many to list.


What are everyone's favorite covers? (Studio LP/EP, Boots, Compilations, Live, Box set) etc.

Which ones do you abhor?
