Saw on the Hoffman forums that famous rock producer/engineer Martin Birch passed away at age 72. I first became aware of him from producing the early Iron Maiden albums. Throughout his career he produced albums by Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Jeff Beck, Gary Moore, Whitesnake, Rainbow, Wishbone Ash as well as Maiden among others.

RIP.
