yeah well even if this is an "i've got my own tour to do" style back-out,
it's still true that if his current vocal limitations just aren't up to delivering Faces material,
everyone's better off with Mick Hucknall doing the honours, since he'll sound great.

i hope Rod will appear with the band, explain himself and help out on tambourine or something.
if he doesn't even do that, he'll be embarrassing himself bigtime (which ... ahem, never mind!)

Well, apparently it won't be Mick Hucknell standing in. German says Ronnie is going to ask Flea to ask Anthony Kiedis! THis is the whole post;

Rod Stewart is a grade A prick for this. He has treated those guys like shit down the years and I guess this is the final kick in the teeth.

Well he must have watched the Rolling Stone clip where Ronnie says he is singing Oh La La and he didn't care what Rod thought. Poor Borstal boy.

Good thing Ronnie isn't counting on Axl.

Unbelievable..Rod Stewart @#$%& over Faces yet again..does anyone seriously believe he got the flu????? so bad he couldn't even show up to get the award??? Oh yeah there is a lot of the flu going around mid April.. sure.

what an ass... people, lets not bend over backwards to make excuses for him..this is the same guy who said he was going to tour with Faces and then backed out cause he wanted 70% of the pie.. the same guy who said "touring commiments and scheduling conflicts" kept him from touring with Faces and then was within an hours drive of a Faces show - I believe last year- doing his own show.

Rod Stewart is dead to me. I do think this is for the best: maybe Ronnie will FINALLY realize that while he is a great fried to Rod, Rod is no friend to him... how many times has Ronnie helped out Rod???? how many times has Rod screwed over Ronnie? Its really unbelievable.

There's a full page ad on the back page of the Calendar section of today's LA Times for Rod's Caesar's Palace shows Sept 19- Oct 7.

It reads:

So the Faces induction is actually a big deal for him... when it can be used as a resume item to sell tickets.

I think as soon as Axl Rose became the biggest dbag of the weekend, Rod could "get the flu." No way he couldn't even attend. He's so afraid of what. runing his legacy? It's already ruined.

I agree- to disrespest the fans is unacceptable.. Yet there is another Rod Stewart -Stevie Nicks concert announced.. name any venue... What a stupid combination. ..Why did they think it worked the first time?
