No, it's not. And I think Already Over Me (the verses) is more similar, music-wise, to LIND.

What's interesting, though, is that Cried Out is arranged. Keith and Ronnie have chords, riffs and stops they have to relate to. They are well on their way in the process of mastering it, although it's not perfect yet.

On LIND we have two Mick guitars carrying the tune + some shapeless noodling from Keith (his mistakes are turned down in the bridge, but they are still very much audible).

The main reason I keep on saying that Cried Out is not an embryonic version of LIND is because of the music and how the songs are written. If one tends to listen more to the vocalist than the band, I can understand this stance. But if you're listening to everything, you'll find that Cried Out in fact is even more fleshed out than the finished take of LIND, music-wise. Add that the vocal melody is different and that the chords are totally different (descending versus ascending - making it impossible to sing similar verse lines).

But I'm with you on Mick bringing some of the feel of HIS performance on Cried Out to LIND.

but is does an album mean vinyl?

And do two vinyls make a double album...or do two vinyl make a double album?

A great underrated song little-known and with few views...time to give it the right importance!
I'm not a fan of ABB, but this is a great song!

"Laugh I nearly died" is a good song, but the band did not play it live. I never understood why ABB vanished from the set list during the ABB tour. The band did not have the courage to play three new songs, in the end even "Rough Justice" vanished. That is why I do not expect much from the famous "new album". Of course I would like to be proven wrong.

Yeah they should've performed LIND, and done RFD more as well together with ONNYA and RJ.

However, Rough Justice was performed all the way to the last show in London through 2007.

To me best song on ABB.
Good tune for movies too.

Yes. It’s a stunning track in my opinion. If they’d done this in the, what, 70s, it would be hailed as one of their best ever songs BECAUSE so many more would have heard it. Not just the diehards WE all are. That is my opinion anyway. It’s a track I adore.

Definitely because the tour was so long - with several legs. For the first leg, ABB-songs were pretty good represented in the setlist. By autumn 2007 (the tour started in 2005!) there was only Rough Justice left.

This song is obviously known in our circle, can’t imagine it would have great appeal outside it. Sticking with my opinion from last January. Pretty sure this song was one of my cuts in the reduce ABB discussion

The song starts well, you think it sounds great, but after that it stays in the same tempo without surprises or a good solo, it seems to me that the song is not finished.

Probably the second best Jagger vocal ever after Let It Loose IMO.

Very underrated.
