Posted by: benstones ()

This topic to say that I'm sad that the french forum (the world is Stones) is now dead. Moreover than now there are a lot of Stones news! A lot of french fans need to share their passion, and their concerts reviews!!!!

A few years ago, this forum was part of my life. I met great people!

Lacride
Marc Palio
Shelter
Happy
JJF
LPJ
Crousti
The Worst
Bitch
FFKitten
Gus
Sister Marie
NICO, the creator of TWIS

And much more...

And thanks to TWIS, I discovered the best website of Stones informations : IORR

Ben - everybody there was laughing at you about the Carrefour tickets last spring - but you were right, as I guess the main prizes for the operation are probably tickets/train/hotel to one of the O2 show.

Thought I might try registering for that - I read French reasonably well though I don't speak it fluently - but I'm not telling some anonymous site my birthday, where I'm from, what job I do and what kind of mood I'm in before I'm allowed to register! Thank heavens for nice simple iorr!

I was 15... And I don't remember about the Carrefour tickets. I never bought tickets in Carrefour!

Sad day. A lot of fine people on that forum.

Gazza can't you somehow electronically incorporate them into another Stone's BB? Sounds like this forum had built some real value, someone should buy the thing and ressurrect it to keep those people in the fold and increase diversity...... peace

Oui je me doutais bien ! smiling smiley
Oh you were with Gus (she was nice) on the SDF floor, indeed I was seating, supposed to be a good seat, but a stadium seat: shit! It's the reason why since there I hate concerts in stadium!

Salut Ben,

I had a real fun time with those TWIS guys and gals. We had good times, we had bad times, but never annoying times.

My best wishes to the great IORR-Community!

Merci dcba !

je viens d'écouter l'émission. Sympa, Dominique.

Selon Nico Zentgraf
800900A
early September: London, unidentified studio (maybe Island’s Basing St. Studios).MJ and KR listen to leftovers from the ‘Some Girls’ and ‘Emotional Rescue’-sessions

821000E
mid-October - 7th November: Paris, France, unidentified 8-track basement demo
studio. MJ (voc, gtr, el p, dr), KR (gtr, voc) and CW (dr; not from the start)
prepare demos for the upcoming album Undercover, incl.
- Can’t Find Love I (MJ/KR)
- Cooking Up I (MJ/KR) -also known as What I Am Sayin' Is True; unverified
- Gotta Know You I (MJ/KR) -unverified
- High School Girl (MJ/KR)
- She Was Hot I (MJ/KR) -early slower version with different lyrics
- Wanna Hold You I (MJ/KR) -unverified

Not sure if this was ever posted before but there's some stuff by Lamblin about the Marconi sessions in Boulogne that I hadn't read about before, came across it by accident : [www.leblogdeboulogne.com]

Also has anyone read his book ?
