I've been lucky that my favourite band has been around all of my life and has shaped and influenced it.

I'd have been a lot richer and better educated otherwise but, what the hell, it's been a good ride.

Me too. It was a great ride, meeting great people and having fun
with great friends. 47 times.

If it was the end of touring on Aug. 26 in 2007, it´s fine.
I was there.

Saw Aerosmith in 1978 and thought that was the closest I'd ever get to seeing the Stones. No ticket for the 78 tour. Then got to see the New Barbarians - thought that was the closest I'd ever get. Hoped for a surprise appearance by Mick - didn't happen.

Finally, in 1981, got the news that we had scored tickets. Was soooooo excited. 10 times since then. Always a great show and always fun.

Yes - even if the never do another thing, I feel very lucky to have seen the Stones in concert. They will go down (IMO) in musical history as THE band that captured the very essence of rock and roll - especially onstage - and wrote some of the genre's greatest songs. They are to rock and roll what people like Louis Armstrong are to jazz or Muddy waters to blues; legendary greats. I'd feel lucky to have seen them once but I was much luckier: 1978, 1981, 1989, 2002, 2005, 2006...plus two great Keith and the Winos shows in 1988! Great memories from each even though some shows were way better than others! And though I was to young to see the Mick Taylor era Stones, I did get to see Mick Taylor at a Bluesbreakers "reunion" in the eighties.

Saw them over 30 times from 1975 to Slane Castle which I'm guessing will be the last big spectacle even if they do perform in some fashion again. I was able to take my kids in 2005 though they tell me now they'd like to see them again as they were a bit young the first time.

If you're in the UK get to the Ronnie and Taylor shows this summer and at least get a feel of it.

I've seen Ronnie at Hammersmith in 88 and 92. Here we go again.

Lots of speculation, but I have not yet heard the fat lady sing.

glad i saw the stones 3 times.

would love to see them once more but if not so be, got great memories.

made better because when i got into the band in 1987 i thought they were finished, so it was great to see a new album and tour.

the o2 centre gig in august 2007 was the icing on the cake.

Good call. Was lucky enough to see them for the first time in 82 in Nice.. when I was working down there.. only seen them 4 times later.. but have to say I did manage to blag my way into the gig at Sheppard's Bush with a few of of ya guys who are here.. it was kinda cool.. so I do get the point of the thread.. But, one more time .. yer.. I could pay a lot for that...
