How does the CD sound?

It's "Wanted Dead or Alive". Not as good as Buried Alive or Live in Kilburn.

I thought the vinyl sounded better than Buried Alive. It's not as tinny-sounding, and there's way more depth to the total band sound, imo.

This book being avaibale months after the cd released, the material can't be noted as "unreleased". Still one way to increase their bank account.
It was the same with the previous "New Barbarians" items, nothing really new compared to the bootlegs versions. I think Ronnie doesn't have a serious eye on this market and doesn't really care too!

Out of curiosity, did buyers really think there was going to be a different cd? I knew it was going to be the same one myself, but I recall reading about this a couple months ago...

Whether or not anyone was misled by it, it's still misleading. And unnecessary.
"Contains the same CD released last year" would have been way more amusing, as well as true :E

Well what a great book this is.

I originally placed the order not for the CD, but rather the book.
Then the book got pushed out a few months,
I had buyers remorse (too many B & L t-shirts/ something)
I cancelled my order.
However,
the few reviews on the book are impressive, quality and never seen before pics.
But,
you people here are the RS computer bank
so don't take my 2nd hand info 'never seen before'
I still want the book.

The author is one of us. An ardent fan who is close enough to Ronnie to have his blessing and those of Keith who apparently didn't give a rip. He interviewed Ronnie, Bobby Keys and Ian McLagen for the book. Mclagen the same day he died in Minneapolis.

The book is very nicely done. The pictures are great and I can't wait to read it ... have to finish my current book first. I bought it for the book alone, i already had the cd.

Cool, the price is very low for the quality of the book included. If this were a deluxe package with that book, it would easily be $50+.

Yes, thank you, I agree great price for the quality/ rare content, etc.
It's just I also bought a small RS jean jacket today.
One of the official ones, for $200.
My mans cool, but -- I gotta be cool too.

Wow, good for you! I personally stay away from official (and non-official) as I almost never like them. Often they put logos or words that are too large and (imo) obnoxious for my liking. I prefer a simple small RS tongue logo with no words, like in the upper left (or right to the viewer) of the shirt, or on the hat.

My buddy & I made some around 30 years ago that I considered perfect, and then i found an official shirt at a concert about 17 years ago that i liked (and still have), it just the small logo -- to me that says it all, no words needed!

I know, perhaps I sound like an overzealous fan (LOL)
but,
the jean jacket was just to my liking and size, w/ a small 'Zipcode' patch
Zipcode being my only major life event (lol again)
anyway, it's all good, my b-day is kinda close, and I'm not in debt (yet, ha!)
AND I am looking forward to the book this weekend!
Cheers mates smileys with beer

Going backstage with a Minneapolis Rolling Stones superfan
Rob Chapman of Minneapolis has been to Keith Richards' house and e-mails Ron Wood once or twice a week. Read more about Rob .... ;

Puzzling: Did Ian McLagan die in Minneapolis? Not in Austin?

Ian didn't show up for rehearsels in Minneapolis, friends found him at his home in Austin, where he had a stroke. Later , he died in the hospital in Austin .

Bobby Keys

'warms up in the bathroom of yet another arena'
best picture I've ever seen of him.
My books stopped on this page.
Large breathtaking black and white.

Amazon.de or amazon.co.uk is much cheaper, about €20
