Keith plays on two tunes on Chuck Leavell's new record

Chuck Leavell's new record is a tribute to legendary blues piano players like Leroy Carr and Little Brother Montgomery.  Keith plays electric on the Otis Spann tune "Boots and Shoes" and acoustic on the old Leroy Carr tune "Evening Train".  Both songs are quite good.  The record is available now digitally and will be out on disc in a couple weeks.  Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

You can here samples on ITunes, if you listen to evening train, there seems to be another guitarist aswell, otherwise keith did put down some work on this..

Just bought it, it sure feels and sounds like the old keith, nice stuff!

Here's very much looking forward to this CD. What's the album title?

The CD title is "Back To The Woods". Keith does all the acoustic on "Evening Train" but on the electric "Boots and Shoes", the second guitar is John Mayer...who is also featured on "Wish Me Well". Chuck's piano work on this is truly amazing, a really great tribute to early blues piano.

Will they scratch the "s" of woods?

When I saw the title of this thread I thought, O my god, now I have to buy a Chuck Leavell
album. But reading what the contents will be, I am sure it will be great!

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away
